iCandy Scissors Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Policy
At iCandy Scissors Australia, we want our customers to shop with confidence. This policy explains our 14-day exchange policy, Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty, accessory warranty and the process for returning products to us.
14-Day Exchange Policy
We understand that customers may occasionally choose the wrong size, style or product.
iCandy Scissors offers a 14-day exchange period on eligible products. The 14-day period begins from the date your order is delivered.
To qualify for a change-of-mind exchange, the product must be:
- Unused
- Undamaged
- In its original condition
- Returned in its original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Eligible products may be exchanged for another product of similar value, or the value of the returned product may be credited towards the purchase of a higher-priced product.
We do not provide refunds for change-of-mind purchases. Eligible change-of-mind returns are offered as an exchange.
Exchange is available once per purchase.
Personalised or engraved products cannot be exchanged for change of mind once engraving or personalisation has been completed.
Return postage for a change-of-mind exchange is the responsibility of the buyer.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our change-of-mind exchange policy operates in addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a product has a major failure or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as provided by Australian Consumer Law.
Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty – iCandy Scissors
iCandy professional scissors are covered by a Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty against manufacturing defects.
iCandy works with specialist production partners experienced in the manufacture and development of professional convex-edge hairdressing and barbering scissors. Following production, iCandy individually quality-controls each scissor before supply to our customers.
Our professional scissors are designed for long-term professional use and are designed to be professionally sharpened and maintained throughout their working life.
Scissors submitted under the Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty must be returned to iCandy Scissors for inspection. If inspection confirms a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty, the product will be repaired or replaced as appropriate.
Please contact us at hello@icandyscissors.com.au to obtain return authorisation before sending a warranty return. Unauthorised returns may be rejected.
The Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty is separate from our 14-day change-of-mind exchange policy and does not provide a lifetime change-of-mind return or refund period.
Lifetime Warranty Exclusions
The Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty does not cover routine maintenance, normal wear or damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or inappropriate care.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Routine sharpening or re-sharpening
- Damage caused by dropping or impact
- Chipped or damaged blade edges caused by misuse
- Damage caused by over-tightening the scissor tension
- Damage caused by operating scissors with the tension excessively loose
- Scratching or cosmetic wear resulting from use or improper storage
- Corrosion, tarnishing, discolouration or damage caused by exposure to chemicals
Correct scissor tension is important for both cutting performance and protecting the blade edges.

Caring for Your iCandy Scissors
Professional scissors, particularly colour-coated and highly polished finishes, require appropriate care to maintain their appearance and performance.
1. Avoid chemical exposure.
Do not allow iCandy scissors or accessories to come into contact with comb sterilising solutions, perm solutions, hair colour, peroxide, disinfectants or similar salon chemicals. Chemical exposure may cause corrosion, tarnishing, discolouration or other damage.
When working with salon chemicals, use appropriate gloves and ensure your hands and the client's hair are free from chemical residue before handling your scissors.
After use, gently wipe your scissors with the supplied iCandy cleaning cloth or a clean, soft material suitable for maintaining professional scissors.
2. Store your scissors securely.
Do not leave scissors loose in drawers or other locations where the blades or finish may become scratched or damaged. Store them securely in their supplied case or protective packaging when not in use.
Accessories Warranty
iCandy accessories, including applicable pouches, cases, razors, combs and similar accessories, are covered by a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects.
This warranty operates in addition to any rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
How to Return a Product
Before returning a product for warranty assessment or exchange, please contact iCandy Scissors at hello@icandyscissors.com.au to obtain return authorisation and instructions.
Products should be securely packaged and returned using a tracked postal service. Please retain your tracking information until your return has been received and processed.
For change-of-mind exchanges, return postage is the responsibility of the buyer. Where Australian Consumer Law requires iCandy Scissors to bear particular return or remedy costs, those statutory rights will apply.
