🌹 February 2015 – The iCandy Rose Gold Professional Series
By February 2015, iCandy had documented its original Rose Gold Professional Series of hairdressing scissors in Australia.
The distinctive Rose Gold Titanium colour finish gave iCandy professionals an alternative to traditional polished Silver scissors while retaining the ergonomic design and professional cutting characteristics required for salon use.

✨ Late 2016 – ELITE Rose Gold Expands the Design Platform
Later in 2016, iCandy expanded its Rose Gold development again through the ELITE Series, bringing the finish into a more advanced professional scissor platform.
The ELITE Rose Gold range was developed across 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5 inch cutting scissors, together with dedicated thinning and texturising models. Archive production records from late 2016 document Rose Gold ELITE models with Rose Gold bodies and matching Rose Gold ball-bearing tension screws.
This period also marked an important stage in iCandy’s continuing blade-profile development. The ELITE platform introduced a stronger, more pronounced blade direction that became an early design precursor to the later Sword and Mountain Blade concepts developed across subsequent iCandy generations.
At the same time, iCandy was continuing to build complete professional scissor systems rather than treating each model as an isolated tool. Rose Gold cutting, thinning and texturising scissors were increasingly presented in double- and triple-scissor bundle configurations, allowing professionals to assemble coordinated cutting systems for different techniques and applications.
By the end of 2016, Rose Gold had therefore evolved well beyond the original 2015 limited-edition release. 🎄 Christmas 2016 – DREAM Rose Gold Launch
In December 2016, iCandy introduced DREAM Rose Gold as part of the Christmas 2016 range, bringing the established DREAM platform into the continuing Rose Gold design story.
The DREAM Rose Gold release combined the distinctive DREAM handle design with a Rose Gold finish, ball-bearing tension system and decorative pink diamond detail, creating a more fashion-led interpretation of the professional Rose Gold scissor concept.
The range was developed across right-handed and left-handed configurations, with both conventional and swivel-thumb handle options, as well as cutting and thinning models. This gave professionals considerably more choice in how the Rose Gold platform could be matched to individual cutting style, handedness and ergonomic preference.
Archive production records dated December 2016 document the first identified shipment of DREAM Rose Gold cutting and thinning scissors, while subsequent Rose Gold production records preserve left-handed, swivel and left-handed swivel variants within the DREAM platform.

💎 2017 – Rose Gold Moves Into Genuine Damascus Design
Following the expansion of Rose Gold across the ELITE and DREAM platforms in 2016, iCandy moved the colour into an entirely new level of product development in 2017 with the creation of its original Rose Gold Damascus professional scissor.
Original iCandy development files dated in January 2017 document the DAMA1 Damascus design, combining genuine Damascus steel with its distinctive layered blade pattern, iCandy’s established Rose Gold design direction and an ergonomic professional scissor platform.
This marked a significant progression in the iCandy Rose Gold story, bringing together the decorative character of Rose Gold with the distinctive layered appearance of genuine Damascus steel.
iCandy’s historical records support its position that this model was commissioned exclusively for iCandy Scissors and represented the world’s first genuine Rose Gold Damascus professional hairdressing and barbering scissor.
The design later received professional industry coverage, including a feature in The Cut Throat Journal in its August/September 2018 edition, where it was presented as the iCandy Damascus Rose Golden Titanium Scissor.
💎 2018 – The LUXE Collection & DAMA2 Evolution
In 2018, iCandy continued developing its Rose Gold Damascus direction through the launch of the LUXE Collection and the introduction of DAMA2.
A documented finished DAMA2 prototype from March 2018 shows the next stage in iCandy’s Damascus design development, refining the handle profile, overall proportions and premium Rose Gold presentation that had begun with the earlier DAMA1 generation.
By June 2018, DAMA2 had progressed into commercial production as part of the LUXE Collection, including Rose Gold and Yellow Gold Damascus models developed for professional hairdressing and barbering use.
The LUXE generation represented another important step in the evolution of iCandy’s Rose Gold identity, combining Damascus steel, refined ergonomic styling, premium colour finishes and distinctive handle design within a more advanced professional platform.
DAMA2 also became an important design precursor to the later iCandy ALL STAR Collection. Elements of its proportions, premium finish direction and overall design language helped shape the next generation of iCandy professional scissors.

⭐ 2020 – ALL STAR Carries the Rose Gold Lineage Forward
In 2020, Rose Gold entered another major generation of iCandy professional scissors with the introduction of the ALL STAR Collection, continuing the design lineage established through the earlier Rose Gold, ELITE, DREAM and Damascus generations.
The ALL STAR platform expanded Rose Gold within a broader flagship professional collection that also included Yellow Gold, Midnight Black and Silver finishes, together with cutting, thinning and later texturising configurations.
🏆 August 2021 – ALL STAR Recognised by BarberEVO
In August 2021, the iCandy Damascus ALL STAR Rose Gold Scissor received further professional industry recognition when it was selected for BarberEVO North America’s Editor’s Choice in Issue #20.
The feature presented the Rose Gold Damascus ALL STAR to an international professional barbering audience and documented the growing profile of the ALL STAR generation beyond Australia.
The development of these later collections reflects a broader iCandy approach: successful design ideas are refined over time through changes to ergonomics, blade geometry, balance, tension systems, materials and professional cutting applications.

⚔️ 2022 – Rose Gold SWORD PRO VG10 & the 10-Year Anniversary Generation
Following the ALL STAR generation, Rose Gold later became part of the iCandy SWORD PRO VG10 Collection as part of iCandy’s 10-Year Anniversary development phase.
This generation brought Rose Gold into a newer premium VG10 platform, combining Japanese VG10 stainless steel, the iCandy Sword Mountain Blade design, ergonomic professional handling and a more sculpted high-end presentation.
The broader SWORD family was developed across two related design directions: the smooth-handled SWORD VG10 and the more distinctive SWORD PRO variation with its hand-hammered handle finish. Across the collection, iCandy developed four premium colour options — Silver, Yellow Gold, Midnight Black and Rose Gold — continuing the colour-led design philosophy seen across earlier iCandy generations.
Within this generation, Rose Gold remained an important part of the iCandy design language while the platform itself advanced through newer blade geometry, premium VG10 steel construction, updated tension-system detailing and a more distinctive anniversary-edition presentation.
The Rose Gold SWORD PRO models show how the Rose Gold lineage continued to evolve beyond the earlier Damascus and ALL STAR generations into a more modern VG10 anniversary platform. At the same time, the parallel SWORD and SWORD PRO formats demonstrate iCandy’s broader product-development approach of refining design ideas across related professional platforms rather than treating each release as an isolated model.
Together, the SWORD and SWORD PRO generations formed another important stage in the continuing evolution of iCandy’s Rose Gold design language, bridging the earlier ALL STAR era with the later EVOLVE VG10 generation.
✨ 2024–Current – EVOLVE VG10 & the Current Rose Gold Generation
In 2024, iCandy introduced the EVOLVE VG10 Collection, beginning a new generation of professional hairdressing and barbering scissors built around premium Japanese VG10 stainless steel, ergonomic offset handling and the continuing development of iCandy’s Sword Mountain Blade design direction.
The EVOLVE generation was first introduced in Silver, followed by Midnight Black, establishing the initial colour direction for the new platform.
In 2025, iCandy extended EVOLVE into two further signature finishes — Rose Gold and Yellow Gold — completing the four-colour EVOLVE collection alongside Silver and Midnight Black.
The introduction of Rose Gold EVOLVE VG10 brought one of iCandy’s longest-running signature finishes into its current professional scissor generation. While colour had been part of the iCandy design identity since the brand’s launch in 2012, Rose Gold itself first became part of iCandy’s documented professional scissor history in February 2015. In EVOLVE, that established Rose Gold direction was carried into a substantially newer platform incorporating Japanese VG10 steel, ergonomic offset handles, ball-bearing tension systems and contemporary cutting and thinning designs.
